This Cartier Santos, reference WSSA0017 reimagines the classic Santos design in a bold and sport-driven chronograph format. The XL case measures 43.3mm x 51.3mm and is crafted entirely in stainless steel, keeping the signature square silhouette and exposed screws that define the Santos aesthetic. Despite its larger size, the case wears comfortably thanks to the curved lugs and slim profile.

The off-white dial is clean and modern, with black Roman numerals, and a chronograph layout that feels purposeful without overcomplicating the design. Instead of traditional pushers, the chronograph is operated through an ingenious monopusher integrated into the crown—an elegant solution that keeps the case profile clean and symmetrical.

Powering the watch is Cartier’s in-house automatic movement, the Calibre 1904-CH MC, offering chronograph functionality with a column wheel and vertical clutch. The movement delivers a 48 hour power reserve with refined finishing throughout.
